Description
A cozy and creamy pasta dish made with hearty beef, melty Velveeta cheese, and comforting flavors that make every bite feel like home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz bowtie pasta (or preferred shape)
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
- 16 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 2 cups beef broth (or chicken broth)
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz, fire-roasted optional)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it into crumbles. Drain any excess fat once fully cooked.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened and fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth and diced tomatoes. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for about 5 minutes.
- In a separate pot, cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Add the cubed Velveeta cheese to the skillet and let it melt slowly until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in the cooked pasta, coating it well in the cheese and beef mixture. Cook for another 2 minutes to heat through.
- Serve hot, topped with Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
To add a little heat, sprinkle red pepper flakes into the sauce. Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat beautifully. For another comfort classic, try the Cheesy Hamburger Rice Casserole.
