Description

A cozy and cheesy Three Cheese Pasta that brings warmth to every bite. With creamy layers of mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan, this family-favorite dish is perfect for weeknight dinners or sharing with friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the elbow macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 2 minutes while stirring.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the sauce thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  6. Combine the pasta with the cheese sauce until evenly coated.
  7. Optional: Transfer to a greased baking dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes until golden on top.

Notes

Cook pasta just until al dente to prevent mushiness. Whisk the butter and flour well to avoid lumps in your sauce. For a twist, add spinach, broccoli, or even cooked chicken or sausage for extra flavor.
