Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can refried beans (15 oz)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup salsa (your favorite brand)
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup chopped lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through. Drain the grease, then stir in refried beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Heat until warm.
- Lay tortillas on a flat surface. Add the beef and bean mixture in the center, then layer with cheddar cheese, salsa, lettuce, and tomatoes.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll tightly from the bottom. Place seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake burritos for 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and tortillas are golden.
Notes
Avoid overstuffing to keep burritos easy to roll. Let the filling cool slightly before assembling to avoid soggy tortillas. Add jalapeños or hot sauce for extra heat. Freeze extras tightly wrapped for easy future meals.
