Strawberry Candy Skewers

  • Author: Navy Sinclair
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 6 skewers 1x

Description

These shimmering Strawberry Candy Skewers are the perfect sweet treat for summer! With a crisp candy shell over juicy berries, they’re a hit for any sunny day event, whether it’s a backyard party, picnic, or a whimsical dessert table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 fresh strawberries – washed and dried (swap with raspberries if desired)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • Wooden skewers
  • Optional: sprinkles or crushed nuts for decoration

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, water, and corn syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir gently until sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook until the syrup hits 300°F (hard crack stage) using a candy thermometer.
  3. Take the syrup off heat and wait briefly. Dip each strawberry carefully into the syrup, holding it by the stem, then set on a parchment-lined tray.
  4. Before the candy hardens, add your sprinkles or nuts if using for extra flair.
  5. Let the candy coating cool and set completely before serving. They’ll be ready in no time.

Notes

Choose ripe, firm strawberries for best results. Try other fruits like grapes or banana slices for fun variations. For an elegant twist, drizzle melted chocolate on top once the candy coating sets.
