Steakhouse Burger Joes

  • Author: Navy Sinclair
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

A bold twist on a childhood favorite, these Steakhouse Burger Joes are packed with juicy beef, tangy BBQ sauce, and savory steakhouse flavors. A quick and hearty dinner everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey for a lighter option)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons steak seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (use your favorite variety)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 toasted buns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef, breaking it apart until fully browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  3. Mix in the steak seasoning, BBQ sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Let the mixture simmer on low heat for 10 minutes to blend the flavors.
  4. While it simmers, toast the buns lightly for better texture and to avoid sogginess.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture onto the toasted buns. Top with cheddar cheese if desired. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

Customize with jalapeños or green chilies for a kick. Toppings like avocado or sautéed mushrooms add extra flavor. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
