Description
A bold twist on a childhood favorite, these Steakhouse Burger Joes are packed with juicy beef, tangy BBQ sauce, and savory steakhouse flavors. A quick and hearty dinner everyone will love.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey for a lighter option)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons steak seasoning (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (use your favorite variety)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 6 toasted buns
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef, breaking it apart until fully browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
- Mix in the steak seasoning, BBQ sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Let the mixture simmer on low heat for 10 minutes to blend the flavors.
- While it simmers, toast the buns lightly for better texture and to avoid sogginess.
- Spoon the beef mixture onto the toasted buns. Top with cheddar cheese if desired. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
Customize with jalapeños or green chilies for a kick. Toppings like avocado or sautéed mushrooms add extra flavor. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
