- 4 ripe bananas, sliced (around 2 cups)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix melted butter and sugar together in a bowl until smooth.
- Add flour, milk, baking powder, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish. Layer banana slices over the top.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Add chopped nuts for a bit of crunch, or stir in chocolate chips for a twist. Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days and reheat before serving.
