Description

Creamy, savory seafood folded into tender jumbo shells, baked to perfection with marinara and melty cheese. A comforting dish that brings the taste of the sea right to your table.


Ingredients

  • 1 box jumbo pasta shells (1216 shells)
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat (imitation crab works too)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Boil jumbo shells following package directions until al dente. Drain and lay them on a baking sheet to cool.
  2. In a large bowl, combine shrimp, crab, ricotta, half the mozzarella, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spoon the seafood mixture into each shell and arrange them seam side up in a greased baking dish.
  4. Pour marinara sauce evenly over the shells and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes, until cheese is golden and bubbly.

Notes

Add a splash of lemon juice to the filling for extra brightness. Any leftover stuffing makes a delicious dip! You can assemble the dish in advance and bake later.
