Description
Creamy, savory seafood folded into tender jumbo shells, baked to perfection with marinara and melty cheese. A comforting dish that brings the taste of the sea right to your table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box jumbo pasta shells (12–16 shells)
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup cooked crab meat (imitation crab works too)
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
Instructions
- Boil jumbo shells following package directions until al dente. Drain and lay them on a baking sheet to cool.
- In a large bowl, combine shrimp, crab, ricotta, half the mozzarella, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spoon the seafood mixture into each shell and arrange them seam side up in a greased baking dish.
- Pour marinara sauce evenly over the shells and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes, until cheese is golden and bubbly.
Notes
Add a splash of lemon juice to the filling for extra brightness. Any leftover stuffing makes a delicious dip! You can assemble the dish in advance and bake later.
