  • Author: Navy Sinclair
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

Fluffy scrambled eggs, savory sausage, and melted cheese tucked in soft slider buns, these Sausage Egg Cheese Sliders are pure breakfast bliss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns (whole wheat optional)
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage (or turkey sausage)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or preferred blend)
  • Butter, for greasing the pan
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk eggs with milk, salt, and pepper. Scramble in the same skillet until fluffy and set. Remove from heat.
  4. Slice slider buns and place bottoms in a greased baking dish. Layer sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheese on the buns.
  5. Add the tops of the buns and more cheese if desired. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes, until cheese is melted and tops are golden. Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Prep the sliders the night before and bake them fresh in the morning. Add your favorite spices or extra veggies for variety. Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat beautifully.
