- 12 sheets lasagna noodles
- 1 pound Italian sausage (turkey or chicken sausage works too)
- 3 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Boil lasagna noodles according to package instructions until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Layer 4 noodles, half the sausage, half the ricotta, and one-third of the mozzarella. Add more Alfredo sauce.
- Repeat the layers: noodles, sausage, ricotta, mozzarella, and sauce.
- Top with final layer of noodles, remaining Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15 more minutes until bubbly and golden. Let rest before garnishing with parsley and serving.
Notes
You can prepare this lasagna a day in advance. Store leftovers in the fridge or freezer, they reheat wonderfully. Consider adding vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra depth.
