Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups fresh spinach or cabbage, chopped
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite)
- 1 package (16 ounces) crescent roll dough
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add chopped spinach or cabbage to the skillet and cook until wilted. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, season with salt and pepper, and remove from heat.
- Press half of the crescent roll dough into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly over the dough. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
- Place the remaining crescent roll dough on top and pinch the seams to seal everything inside.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
To spice things up, try adding jalapeños or your favorite seasoning. The casserole can be prepped ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking. Leftovers reheat well for lunch or dinner the next day.
