- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups fresh peaches, diced (or canned, drained)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Warm the milk gently in a small saucepan until just lukewarm. Stir in the sugar and yeast, then let it sit for 5–10 minutes until bubbly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add in the milk mixture, melted butter, and egg. Stir until the dough comes together.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Transfer to a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll the dough out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and brown sugar, then scatter the diced peaches across the surface.
- Roll up the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place them in a greased baking dish and allow them to rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25–30 minutes until golden on top.
- Let the rolls cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving warm.
Notes
