Description

This festive Patriotic Popcorn is the ultimate sweet and salty snack for any celebration. With eye-catching red, white, and blue colors, it’s an easy and delicious way to wow your guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup popcorn kernels (or pre-popped popcorn)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup red candy melts
  • 1/2 cup blue candy melts
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Pop the kernels according to the package directions or measure 1 cup of pre-popped popcorn into a large bowl.
  2. Drizzle melted butter over the popcorn and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Melt the red and blue candy melts in separate bowls according to package instructions. Stir each until smooth.
  4. Drizzle the red candy over the popcorn, followed by the blue candy. Stir with a spatula to create a marbled effect.
  5. Melt the white chocolate chips and drizzle over the popcorn. Add mini marshmallows and sprinkle with sea salt.
  6. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes to set. Once hardened, break apart and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Customize colors for other holidays. Avoid overheating candy melts to keep popcorn from getting soggy.
