  • Author: Navy Sinclair
  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 24 macarons 1x

Description

These Oreo Macarons are a delicious twist on the classic French treat, light, crisp shells with a rich, creamy Oreo filling. Perfect for impressing at gatherings or treating yourself.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 large egg whites, aged
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for filling)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup crushed Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Sift together almond flour, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder into a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, whip egg whites to soft peaks, then slowly add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold dry ingredients into the whipped egg whites gently until the batter flows like lava.
  4. Pipe 1-inch rounds onto parchment-lined baking sheets and let sit for 30 minutes.
  5. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 15–20 minutes, then let cool completely.
  6. For the filling, mix butter, powdered sugar, cream, and crushed Oreos until smooth.
  7. Pair similar-sized shells, pipe filling on one, and sandwich with the other.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the batter to ensure airy macarons. Aging egg whites helps achieve the ideal texture.
