Description
A cozy, flavorful dinner that comes together in just one pan – these creamy ranch pork chops are a quick weeknight favorite that the whole family will love.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in pork chops (1 inch thick) or boneless
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half for a lighter option
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Sear each chop for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove pork chops from the skillet and set aside. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Add the ranch seasoning and heavy cream. Stir until the sauce is smooth and well mixed.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, nestling them in the creamy mixture. Lower the heat and cover the pan.
- Let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover again for 3-5 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with your favorite sides.
Notes
You can jazz up the sauce with sautéed mushrooms or spinach. For a little heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. This recipe doubles well—just make sure your skillet can handle it!
