- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the oats, flour, baking soda, and cinnamon. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Gently fold in the raisins (or chocolate chips) until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Spread the mixture into the greased pan, smoothing the top evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before cutting into bars. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Want a healthier twist? Swap half the butter with applesauce or try using whole wheat flour. Feel free to mix in your favorites like chopped nuts, dried cranberries, or coconut for a personalized touch!
