Description
These Monster Eyeballs Truffles are spooky, sweet, and sure to steal the show at your next Halloween bash. Creamy, chocolatey, and covered in candy eyes, they’re just as fun to make as they are to eat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup softened cream cheese
- 2 cups powdered sugar (adjust to your liking)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups dark chocolate chips (melted)
- 1/2 cup crushed cookie crumbs
- 1 cup candy eyeballs
- Sprinkles or edible glitter (optional)
Instructions
- Beat cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth and airy.
- Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla until a soft dough forms.
- Stir in crushed cookie crumbs for added crunch.
- Roll into 1-inch balls and place on parchment-lined trays.
- Melt chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Dip each ball into the melted chocolate, coating fully, then lift out with a fork.
- While still wet, press candy eyes onto each truffle.
- Let them set on the tray, then add sprinkles or glitter if desired.
Notes
Let the melted chocolate cool slightly before dipping to avoid melting the truffles. Make sure cream cheese is fully softened for a lump-free texture. Try different extracts for fun flavors like mint or almond. These truffles store great in the fridge or freezer.
