  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

This Mint Chip Spirulina Smoothie is a refreshing fusion of minty goodness and rich chocolate flavor, powered by nutrient-dense spirulina. A perfect choice for a revitalizing breakfast or a post-workout treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas, frozen
  • 2 cups fresh spinach (or kale)
  • 2 tablespoons spirulina powder
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (or cacao)
  • 1 cup almond milk (or coconut milk)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a high-speed blender, add frozen bananas, spinach, spirulina powder, peppermint extract, cocoa powder, and almond milk. Blend until smooth.
  2. If using honey or maple syrup, pour it in and blend again to combine.
  3. Add ice cubes and blend until you reach a thick and creamy texture.
  4. Serve immediately in glasses. Garnish with cocoa nibs or fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

For a twist, try carob powder instead of cocoa. Use dates in place of honey or syrup for natural sweetness. Adjust consistency with more almond milk or banana depending on preference.
