Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe bananas, frozen
- 2 cups fresh spinach (or kale)
- 2 tablespoons spirulina powder
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (or cacao)
- 1 cup almond milk (or coconut milk)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- In a high-speed blender, add frozen bananas, spinach, spirulina powder, peppermint extract, cocoa powder, and almond milk. Blend until smooth.
- If using honey or maple syrup, pour it in and blend again to combine.
- Add ice cubes and blend until you reach a thick and creamy texture.
- Serve immediately in glasses. Garnish with cocoa nibs or fresh mint leaves if desired.
Notes
For a twist, try carob powder instead of cocoa. Use dates in place of honey or syrup for natural sweetness. Adjust consistency with more almond milk or banana depending on preference.
