- 2 large chicken breasts (grilled and sliced, enough for 6–8 servings; turkey works too)
- 6 slices of bacon (crispy; swap with turkey bacon for a lighter bite)
- 6 slices of whole wheat or white bread (toasted)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce (or use spinach for a twist)
- 1 large tomato (sliced; heirloom optional)
- 1 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a healthier version)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season and grill the chicken breasts on medium heat until they reach 165°F internally. Let them rest before slicing.
- While chicken rests, cook bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Toast the bread slices until golden and crispy.
- Start assembling: spread mayo on a slice of bread, layer with lettuce, sliced chicken, bacon, and tomato. Top with another slice of bread.
- Cut the sandwich in half and serve with chips or salad. Enjoy immediately!
Notes
