Description
Who can resist a warm, gooey brownie with rich hot fudge swirled inside? This twist on the classic brownie brings comfort, nostalgia, and a whole lot of chocolatey goodness in every bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup hot fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, stir together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well between each, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips evenly through the batter.
- Spread half the batter into the pan, then drizzle half the hot fudge sauce over it. Repeat with the remaining batter and fudge, swirling lightly with a knife.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat!
Notes
Try adding a sprinkle of sea salt on top for enhanced flavor, or swirl in peanut butter with the fudge for a twist. Dark chocolate chips can replace semi-sweet for an even richer taste.
