Description

Juicy, tender turkey meatballs glazed in a luscious honey garlic sauce. Perfect as an appetizer, main dish, or savory snack everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat if desired)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 1- to 1.5-inch balls and arrange on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked.
  5. In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and ginger. Simmer over medium heat until blended.
  6. Transfer baked meatballs to the sauce, coat well, and simmer for 5 more minutes.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the meat mixture to keep the meatballs tender. These freeze well and can be reheated easily. For some heat, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
