  • Yield: 10 popcorn balls 1x

Description

These Halloween Popcorn Balls are the perfect festive treat for spooky season, easy to make, kid-friendly, and great for parties or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups popped popcorn (from 1/2 cup unpopped kernels)
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup candy corn (or your favorite Halloween candy)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn and place it in a large bowl to cool.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add sugar and stir until dissolved, then mix in peanut butter and marshmallows. Stir until smooth.
  3. If using food coloring, add a few drops and mix well to combine.
  4. Pour the warm mixture over the popcorn and gently fold to coat all the kernels.
  5. Add in candy corn or chosen candies and mix until evenly distributed.
  6. Let the mixture cool slightly, then shape into baseball-sized balls using greased hands.
  7. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let set for about 30 minutes.

Notes

Make sure your popcorn is fully cooled before adding the warm mixture to avoid melting. Grease your hands to make shaping easier and cleaner.
