Ingredients

- 1 green apple, chopped
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1 small piece fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup fresh baby spinach
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro or parsley
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime or lemon juice
- 1/2 to 1 cup water, as needed
Instructions
- Wash and chop the green apple.
- Measure out the frozen pineapple and banana.
- Peel and slice the fresh ginger.
- Layer the spinach, cilantro, fruits, ginger, and citrus juice into the blender.
- Pour in the water over the ingredients.
- Start blending on low, gradually increasing to high speed until smooth.
- Adjust by adding more water if the smoothie is too thick.
Notes
For a smoother blend, mince the ginger before blending if you do not have a high-speed blender. Prep smoothie packs by freezing the ingredients together for an easy grab-and-blend option.
