A deliciously simple one-pan meal featuring tender cabbage and succulent shrimp, brought together with a touch of garlic, paprika, and lemon for a flavorful experience.

- 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until soft.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute, stirring frequently.
- Stir in chopped cabbage with salt and pepper. Sauté for around 10 minutes, until slightly golden and tender.
- Season shrimp with paprika and a bit of salt. Push cabbage to the side and add shrimp to the pan.
- Cook shrimp for 3-4 minutes until pink and cooked through. Mix into the cabbage.
- Add soy sauce and lemon juice, stirring well to combine. Let cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.
Notes
Add red pepper flakes for some heat. This dish can be prepared in advance and refrigerated. Don’t toss shrimp shells; use them for a flavorful seafood stock.
