  • Author: Navy Sinclair
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

A deliciously simple one-pan meal featuring tender cabbage and succulent shrimp, brought together with a touch of garlic, paprika, and lemon for a flavorful experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until soft.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute, stirring frequently.
  3. Stir in chopped cabbage with salt and pepper. Sauté for around 10 minutes, until slightly golden and tender.
  4. Season shrimp with paprika and a bit of salt. Push cabbage to the side and add shrimp to the pan.
  5. Cook shrimp for 3-4 minutes until pink and cooked through. Mix into the cabbage.
  6. Add soy sauce and lemon juice, stirring well to combine. Let cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.

Notes

Add red pepper flakes for some heat. This dish can be prepared in advance and refrigerated. Don’t toss shrimp shells; use them for a flavorful seafood stock.
