- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (optional, for frosting)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for frosting)
Instructions
- Mix Bisquick, milk, and sugar in a bowl until a soft dough forms.
- Lightly flour your surface and knead the dough for 1 minute. Roll it into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread butter on the dough, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar evenly.
- Roll the dough tightly from the long edge, seal the edge, and slice into 1-inch rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes or until golden.
- Mix powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk to create the frosting. Adjust the texture as needed.
- Drizzle frosting over warm rolls straight from the oven. Let cool slightly before enjoying.
Notes
For variety, add diced apples or chopped nuts to the filling. You can prep the dough and filling the night before, refrigerate, then slice and bake in the morning. Easily double the recipe to feed a crowd—just use a larger pan.
