Description
The perfect weeknight dinner, these crispy ground beef tacos bring bold flavor, satisfying crunch, and full-on comfort in every bite. Ideal for Taco Tuesday, or any night you’re craving something fun and delicious.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
- 12 taco shells
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup salsa
- Chopped cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef for 6-8 minutes, breaking it up as it browns to get those crispy bits.
- Drain excess grease if needed, then stir in taco seasoning and about 1/4 cup of water. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened slightly.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or according to your taco shell instructions, and bake the shells for 5-7 minutes until crisp.
- Fill each shell with the seasoned beef mixture, pressing it down gently.
- Layer on shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and cheddar cheese.
- Add a spoonful of sour cream, drizzle some salsa, and sprinkle cilantro on top before serving.
Notes
Avoid overstuffing your tacos to keep them neat and crunchy. Let the taco seasoning fully soak into the meat for a deeper flavor. Try adding sautéed onions or peppers to the beef for an extra kick. Store leftovers by separating the filling and shells to keep things fresh.
