Description
Golden, crunchy cheese-filled ravioli turned into the ultimate appetizer or snack! Perfectly crispy and totally addictive.
Ingredients
Scale
- 16 oz cheese ravioli (frozen or homemade)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned recommended)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Instructions
- Cook the ravioli according to package directions until just al dente, about 3-4 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs, and one with breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each ravioli in flour, then egg, and finish in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the ravioli in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Use a slotted spoon to transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Sprinkle with a bit of salt while hot.
Notes
Try different ravioli fillings like spinach and ricotta or meat. To store leftovers, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven for the best crisp.
