Description

Ingredients

  • 16 oz cheese ravioli (frozen or homemade)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned recommended)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

  1. Cook the ravioli according to package directions until just al dente, about 3-4 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs, and one with breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each ravioli in flour, then egg, and finish in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the ravioli in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
  6. Use a slotted spoon to transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Sprinkle with a bit of salt while hot.

Notes
