Description
These golden, crispy air fryer French fries are the ultimate snack or side dish. Made with minimal oil, they’re crunchy on the outside, tender inside, and ready in minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and sliced into thin fries
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch for extra crispiness.
- Drain and pat the potatoes completely dry with a clean towel.
- In a large bowl, toss potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Arrange fries in a single layer in the basket for even cooking.
- Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even crispiness.
- Remove when golden and crispy, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the basket for best crispiness. Try swapping regular potatoes for sweet potatoes for a healthier twist.
