Description
Imagine soft gnocchi drenched in a creamy sauce, mingling with tender shrimp, a cozy dish perfect for bringing people together. This comforting creamy shrimp gnocchi is simple enough for a weekday dinner yet luxurious enough to impress.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound of gnocchi
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook until they rise to the top, about 2–3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Warm olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds, being careful not to brown it.
- Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then cook them in the skillet for 3–4 minutes until pink and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer briefly. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth.
- Return the gnocchi and shrimp to the skillet, stirring gently to coat everything with the sauce.
- Serve hot, sprinkled with chopped parsley for a burst of freshness.
Notes
Avoid overcooking the shrimp to keep them juicy. For added depth, stir in a dash of red pepper flakes with the garlic. Leftovers stay good in the fridge for up to 3 days, just add a splash of cream or broth when reheating.
