Description
A cozy, comforting creamy beef pasta that blends hearty ground beef with a luscious cheese sauce clinging to every noodle. Perfect for a family dinner or a comforting end to a long day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 12 ounces pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (plus extra for topping)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil the pasta in a large pot following the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain the fat, then add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
- Pour in the heavy cream. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Combine the cooked pasta, mozzarella, and Parmesan into the sauce. Stir until the cheeses are melted and everything is mixed well.
- Place the mixture into a baking dish. Add extra mozzarella on top if you like, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Top with chopped parsley if using, and serve hot. Enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, you can mix in sautéed mushrooms or spinach with the beef. Cream cheese can be added for even more richness. Leftovers keep well for up to 3 days in the fridge and reheat beautifully.
