Description
A comforting and indulgent pasta dish featuring tender cheese tortellini coated in a rich, creamy garlic parmesan sauce. Perfect for cozy nights or impressing dinner guests.
Ingredients
Scale
- 20 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups fresh spinach (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the tortellini according to package directions (typically 3-5 minutes for fresh). Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the olive oil and butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently as it thickens.
- Slowly mix in the grated parmesan cheese, stirring until it melts completely into a smooth sauce. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet. Stir in the spinach if using, and cook until wilted and everything is well combined.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For leftovers, refrigerate in an airtight container up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of milk to loosen the sauce. For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic, or toss in cooked chicken or shrimp for a heartier meal.
