- 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Olive oil, for cooking
- Fresh basil, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice chicken breasts to create a pocket for the filling.
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, half the mozzarella and Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the chicken breasts with the cheese mixture, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat and sear chicken on both sides for 3-4 minutes.
- Top chicken with marinara sauce, remaining cheeses, and transfer to oven.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until fully cooked and cheese is golden and bubbly.
Notes
To keep the chicken juicy, use a thermometer to cook just to 165°F. Add breadcrumbs on top for crunch, or spice it up with crushed red pepper flakes in the filling.
