Description

Creamy, cheesy, and irresistibly comforting, this twist on classic Chicken Parmesan is stuffed with cream cheese for an extra-rich and satisfying dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for cooking
  • Fresh basil, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice chicken breasts to create a pocket for the filling.
  2. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, half the mozzarella and Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stuff the chicken breasts with the cheese mixture, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
  4. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat and sear chicken on both sides for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Top chicken with marinara sauce, remaining cheeses, and transfer to oven.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until fully cooked and cheese is golden and bubbly.

Notes

To keep the chicken juicy, use a thermometer to cook just to 165°F. Add breadcrumbs on top for crunch, or spice it up with crushed red pepper flakes in the filling.
