Description
This Cranberry Pecan Cheese Log is a festive blend of creamy, tangy, and crunchy – perfect for holidays, cozy gatherings, or snacking with the family. A true crowd-pleaser!
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened (light cream cheese optional)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped (walnuts can be used instead)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Combine the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese in a mixing bowl until smooth. Use a hand mixer for a creamy finish.
- Stir in the chopped cranberries, pecans, green onions, garlic powder, and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper, then mix well.
- Shape the mixture into a log on plastic wrap, roll tightly, twist ends to seal, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
- When ready to serve, unwrap the log and place on a platter. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve with crackers or baguette slices.
Notes
Let the cream cheese fully soften before mixing to ensure a smooth texture. Don’t over-mix – the bits of cranberry and pecan should still stand out.
