Description

These Cinnamon Sugar French Toast Roll-Ups are a sweet and cozy treat, perfect for breakfast or a midday snack. Soft bread gets filled, rolled, dipped, and fried to golden perfection, then finished in cinnamon sugar for a dreamy finish.


Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • Butter for frying
  • Filling of choice: jelly, Nutella, or cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Lay out the slices of bread and gently flatten them with a rolling pin.
  2. Spread your preferred filling on each slice, keeping edges clean.
  3. Roll the slices up tightly and place them seam-side down.
  4. In a bowl, mix together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, then coat fully in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  7. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place roll-ups seam-side down and cook until all sides are golden, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  8. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess butter. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes
