Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
  3. Mix in the softened cream cheese until smooth and well combined.
  4. Add eggs one by one, mixing after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just blended.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  8. Scoop out heaping tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges turn lightly golden.
  10. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

Avoid overmixing your dough to keep cookies soft. Letting them cool on the sheet helps set their shape. Parchment paper is your cleanup friend!
