Description
This Chocolate Caramel Dump Cake is your go-to for an easy, gooey, and ultra-comforting dessert. With rich chocolate cake, melted caramel, and pockets of chocolate chips, it’s the kind of treat that brings joy with every bite. Perfect for gatherings or just a cozy night in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box chocolate cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 1 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
- 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, mix together the chocolate cake mix, water, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Spread half of the batter evenly in the baking dish.
- Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter, then sprinkle half of the chocolate chips.
- Pour the rest of the batter on top, followed by the remaining caramel sauce and chocolate chips.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Don’t worry if it’s gooey — that’s the charm.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
Notes
Try adding a pinch of sea salt to the caramel for a sweet-salty twist. To change it up, toss in nuts or toffee bits for extra crunch. Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat for that melty magic.
