Description
Looking for a crisp and healthy way to stay hydrated? This chia seed refreshing drink is just the thing. It’s quick, easy, and brings together hydration with a boost of nutrients. With a touch of lemon and optional natural sweetness, it’s the perfect energizing sipper for any warm day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 4 cups water
- 1–2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (optional)
- 1–2 teaspoons honey or agave syrup (optional, to taste)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, mix the chia seeds and water. Stir thoroughly to avoid clumps. Let sit for 10–15 minutes until the seeds form a gel-like texture.
- Add lemon juice and sweetener if using, and adjust to taste.
- Stir again and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors combine.
- Serve cold over ice with fresh mint leaves for garnish.
Notes
Try swapping in coconut water for extra electrolytes or adding fresh fruit like berries or citrus for more flavor. Maple syrup or stevia can be great alternatives to honey. Add a splash of vanilla or a pinch of cinnamon for a unique twist. Keeps in the fridge for up to 5 days. Stir before serving.
