Description

Crispy golden wrappers filled with luscious cheesecake filling, these Cheesecake Egg Rolls are the ultimate dessert indulgence, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 10 egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying (canola or vegetable)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting, chocolate or caramel sauce for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until smooth and creamy.
  2. Place one egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, corner facing you. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling into the center.
  3. Fold the bottom point over the filling, then fold in both sides and roll tightly. Seal the edge with a little water. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
  4. Heat 2 inches of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry rolls in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

Avoid overstuffing the wrappers to prevent bursting during frying. Keep the oil at a moderate heat to ensure even cooking. Try adding mini chocolate chips or a dash of almond extract for a creative variation.
