Description
A flavor-packed comfort dish featuring juicy steak bites, rich Cajun cream sauce, and pasta that absorbs all the bold, spicy goodness. Perfect for both cozy nights and impressive dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into small pieces
- 8 ounces penne or fettuccine pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt, pepper, and half the Cajun seasoning. Sear until browned, about 3–4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic until softened, around 5 minutes. Add remaining Cajun seasoning and cook 1 more minute.
- Reduce heat and pour in heavy cream. Let it simmer to thicken slightly. Return steak to skillet and stir well.
- Add cooked pasta and toss to coat in sauce. Let sit over low heat for a couple of minutes to combine flavors.
- Serve hot, topped with fresh parsley. Enjoy!
Notes
For extra heat, add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the cream sauce. Easily halve or double this recipe depending on your needs. Swap steak for chicken or shrimp for variety. For a lighter option, use half-and-half or substitute pasta with zoodles or whole grain versions.
