Baked Feta Appetizer

  • Author: Navy Sinclair
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

This baked feta appetizer is a creamy, savory showstopper that transforms simple ingredients into a Mediterranean-inspired delight. Perfect for sharing, it’s melty, herby, and irresistibly scoopable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces feta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • A handful of fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme)
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Baguette or pita bread, to serve

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the feta in the center of a small baking dish and pour olive oil around it.
  3. Scatter cherry tomatoes and herbs around the cheese. Add red pepper flakes if using.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and lightly golden.
  5. Let cool slightly and serve warm with crusty bread or pita.

Notes

For an extra pop of flavor, drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving. Leftovers can be crumbled into salads or spread onto sandwiches. Try swapping in goat cheese or different herbs to switch it up.
