Description
A hearty and comforting casserole that brings all the flavors of a classic bacon cheeseburger into one easy-bake dish. Perfect for family dinners or weeknight meals.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (or substitute ground turkey)
- 4 strips bacon, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups macaroni noodles
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook diced bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon, reserving drippings.
- In the same skillet, brown ground beef. Drain excess fat if needed. Add diced onion and garlic; cook until softened.
- Boil macaroni noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine beef mixture, cooked bacon, noodles, broth, Worcestershire sauce, diced tomatoes, and sour cream. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden. Serve hot.
Notes
Avoid overcooking the pasta as it continues to bake in the oven. Drain tomatoes well to prevent a watery texture. Customize with your favorite veggies or add heat with jalapeños.
