Description

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  4. Add ground meat and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Pour in crushed tomatoes, stir, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. In a large bowl, mix the cooked spaghetti with meat sauce and half the mozzarella.
  7. Transfer to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil.

Notes
