- 12 ounces spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Add ground meat and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes, stir, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked spaghetti with meat sauce and half the mozzarella.
- Transfer to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let sit for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil.
