Description

When the cold settles in, there’s nothing like a cozy meal to bring comfort, and this Amish Sunday Saver Casserole does just that. Perfect for busy weekends, this dish is hearty, wholesome, and bound to become a family favorite around the dinner table.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups cooked egg noodles (or your choice of pasta)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef or turkey with diced onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and stir in mixed vegetables, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add drained tomatoes and cream of mushroom soup. Mix well, then fold in the cooked egg noodles.
  4. Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until cheese is melted and golden.

Notes

You can prepare this dish a day in advance and refrigerate until ready to bake. Try red pepper flakes for a spicy twist or swap cream of mushroom for cream of chicken as a flavorful alternative.
