These golden, crispy chicken tenders made in the air fryer are coated in a sweet and savory honey butter garlic glaze that’s absolutely addictive. Perfect for weeknight meals or impressing guests.

- 1 pound chicken tenders (6–8 pieces) or chicken breast cut into strips
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour or almond flour for gluten-free option
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, preferably Panko
- 1/4 cup honey (adjust to taste)
- 3 tablespoons melted unsalted butter or olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs with a pinch of salt.
- Combine melted butter, honey, and garlic in another bowl to make the glaze.
- Coat each chicken strip in flour mixture, then dip in honey butter garlic glaze, and finish with breadcrumbs.
- Arrange coated tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping once, until golden and cooked through (internal temp of 165°F/75°C).
Notes
Pat chicken dry before coating for better adhesion. Add cayenne to flour mix for spice. Store leftovers up to 3 days in fridge and reheat in air fryer for best results.
