Description

These golden, crispy chicken tenders made in the air fryer are coated in a sweet and savory honey butter garlic glaze that’s absolutely addictive. Perfect for weeknight meals or impressing guests.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenders (68 pieces) or chicken breast cut into strips
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour or almond flour for gluten-free option
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, preferably Panko
  • 1/4 cup honey (adjust to taste)
  • 3 tablespoons melted unsalted butter or olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs with a pinch of salt.
  4. Combine melted butter, honey, and garlic in another bowl to make the glaze.
  5. Coat each chicken strip in flour mixture, then dip in honey butter garlic glaze, and finish with breadcrumbs.
  6. Arrange coated tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping once, until golden and cooked through (internal temp of 165°F/75°C).

Notes

Pat chicken dry before coating for better adhesion. Add cayenne to flour mix for spice. Store leftovers up to 3 days in fridge and reheat in air fryer for best results.
